The “Berliner Konferenz Mineralische Nebenprodukte und Abfaelle (BKMNA)” is aimed at managers and experts from plant construction, plant operators and the areas of component manufacturing, services, planning offices, consulting companies, science and administration.

The conference also offers guidance on the implementation of new legislation, information on market developments, an exchange of operating experience and the presentation of technical innovations and research results.

The BKMNA was organised by TK Verlag together with Professors Helmut Antrekowitsch and Roland Pomberger from the Montanuniversitaet Leoben and Dr Felix Firsbach, Vice President Consulting from Badische Stahl-Engineering GmbH.

Univ.Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.mont. Susanne Michelic (CSO of K1-MET GmbH) gave a presentation entitled “Transformation der Stahlindustrie – neue Prozessrouten und ihre Auswirkung auf die Kreislaufwirtschaft” (Transformation of the steel industry – new process routes and their impact on the circular economy). Professor Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn. Johannes Schenk and Monika Haeuselmann are co-authors of this lecture.
