As an international centre of excellence based in Austria, K1-MET combines research expertise with industrial know-how. Our focus is on developing forward-looking technologies for energy-efficient, resource-efficient and climate-neutral production processes in energy-intensive industries.
With sites in Linz and Leoben, K1-MET is represented in Austria’s key centres for metallurgical research. Our research activities are carried out across four branches.
