What are the latest developments and applications of hydrogen as an energy carrier of the future for industry or transport logistics as well as for energy suppliers?

At the “Bayerisch-Oesterreichisches Wasserstoffforum” on 20 April 2023 (9.00 am – 14.30 pm) at the Raiffeisen Forum in Vienna, the focus was on the current hydrogen strategies from Austria and Bavaria and their potentials and opportunities.

More than 100 participants from Austria and Bavaria attended the “1st Bayerisch-Oesterreichisches Wasserstoffforum” in Vienna, which was organized on behalf of the Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Landesentwicklung und Energie with the Center Wasserstoff.Bayern (H2.B) by the Deutsche Handelskammer in Austria. Mag.a Michaela Rammel welcomed on behalf of Raiffeisenbank Niederoesterreich-Wien as host.

In high-caliber panels, industry experts from business, politics and science will discuss how the hydrogen economy can be advanced and how cooperation between Austria and Bavaria can be intensified.

Irmela Kofler (Area Manager “Low Carbon Energy Systems”) from K1-MET was represented at the panel session ”Wasserstoff | Verwendung in der Industrie und Logistik” under the title “Erneuerbare Energie trifft auf klimaneutrale Stahlerzeugung” (“Renewable energy meets climate-neutral steel production”).
