The Hydrogen Industry Day is an international trade event that enables lectures and expert discussions on a wide range of current hydrogen topics as well as new economic links.

The energy congress will close the gap in know-how transfer and business networking not only in German-speaking countries, but also in Scandinavia or the Baltic states, and will serve as a platform for new B2B contacts and for maintaining existing contacts.

This conference addressed the topics of hydrogen use, progress in current hydrogen projects, hydrogen transport and transport safety, technical solutions in different fields of application, standardisation and certification, economic viability of hydrogen, opportunities and risks of law and insurance, as well as the regional and national future of hydrogen production.

Irmela Kofler, Management of Area 2, participated in the 4^th Hydrogen Industry Day and gave a presentation about the facets of using green hydrogen in the steel industry. Here is a short summary of her presentation entitled “Renewable energy meets future steelmaking”:

Her presentation “Renewable energy meets future steelmaking” dealt with the goal of achieving 100% renewable energy in Austria, the WIVA P&G Flagship project Underground Sun Storage 2030 and the new ZEUS project.
