After four years, Upper Austria as a research location will once again have a large LIVE stage at the tenth edition of the Long Night of Research on 20 May. This announced Markus Achleitner, Provincial Councillor for Economic Affairs and Research. In Upper Austria, more than 150 exhibitors at around 100 locations in 11 regions will be inviting visitors to experience research up close and personal and to talk to researchers in person – from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm.

Hydrogen pilot plant H2FUTURE will be visible to the general public for the first time
“This will make the results and highlights of our top-class research accessible to all interested parties – including pioneering projects such as the highly innovative H2FUTURE pilot plant for green hydrogen at voestalpine, which is being made visible to the general public for the first time,” emphasises Provincial Councillor Achleitner. “Pilot projects like these underline the fact that greening is not only a challenge, but also a great opportunity for Upper Austria as a business location,” explains Achleitner.

Keyword decarbonisation: “Where does the hydrogen come from?” – To answer this question, the Metallurgical Competence Centre K1-MET and voestalpine Stahl are jointly inviting visitors to the H2FUTURE pilot plant for green hydrogen, which will be open to the public for the first time at LNF22.
