It was a pleasure to welcome students from the Adalbert Stifter Praxismittelschule to K1-MET on two separate occasions.

In one visit, 23 female students had the opportunity to meet women working in technology and research and to learn more about their fields of work. After a general introduction to K1-MET and our female researchers, the group joined a guided tour through our lab and technical center. We shared insights into projects focusing on CO2-neutral and digitalized processes for steel production, as well as recycling and circular economy approaches.

In the framework of the TECHNIKTALENTE initiative, we also welcomed another group of students for an introduction to K1-MET, followed by guided tours through our lab and technical center. This visit provided a closer look at applied research in metallurgy and current project work.

It was great to see the students’ interest and engagement throughout both visits. Thank you for joining us!
