The conference “METEC & 6th ESTAD” (European Steel Technology and Application Days) offered the opportunity to learn about the latest information on new ideas and developments as well as on the state-of-the-art in metallurgical process technologies for iron and steel production, steel materials and steel application.
K1-MET was represented with numerous presentations at the "METEC & 6th ESTAD":
- Lecture by Christine Gruber “Optimization and performance improving in metal industry by digital technologies”
- Lecture by Maria Thumfart “High speed video observations of the fascinating melt behavior in the RH plant”
- Lecture by Bahareh Najafian Ashrafi “Numerical simulation of the transient flow in the continuous casting of slab under the impact of traveling and combined electromagnetic fields”
- Lecture by Stefan Tjaden “Evaluation of carbon dioxide emission reduction potential of voestalpine Stahl Linz by Transitioning to DR-EAF steel production with a m.simtop digital twin”
- Lecture by Zhang Xiaomeng “Numerical investigation of non-metallic inclusion removal at the steel-slag interface”
- Lecture by Johann Winkler “Experimental simulation of defect formation in slab casting of Nb-micro-alloyed steel: Influence of cooling conditions”
- Lecture by Daniel Ernst “Influence of pre-reduced iron ore during hydrogen plasma smelting reduction”
- Lecture by Bernhard Mitas “Modeling emulsion refining in BOF steelmaking”
- Lecture by Elizaveta Cheremisina “Density, surface tension and viscosity of a silicate-rich slag derived from aerodynamic levitation”
