K1-MET at the 15th International Conference on Industrial Applications of Computational Fluid Dynamics (SINTEF)

  • Trondheim, Norway
  • 11 – 13 June 2024

SINTEF 2024 focused on the application of CFD in the green transition, metal production, mineral processing, power generation, the oil and gas industries, chemicals, other process industries and biomedical applications.

The conference was organized by SINTEF in cooperation with NTNU, MINTEK and CSIRO.

On behalf of K1-MET, following presentations were held at the conference:

  • Christine Gruber (Management Area 3): “Understanding the continuous casting process with CFD modelling: the impact of microscopic dynamics on macroscopic scales”
  • Hadi Barati (Post-Doc in Area 3): “Simulation of melt flow in steel continuous casting considering transient clogging of submerged entry nozzle”
  • Hannes Lumetzberger (PhD student in Area 3): “On the importance of numerical calibration in recurrence CFD simulations”
