K1-MET was not only be represented with a station in Linz but also in Leoben, Styria.

The station in Leoben was on the topic “Sustainable Steel Experience” presented by the Chair of Ferrous Metallurgy of Montanuniversitaet Leoben and the metallurgical competence center K1-MET GmbH.

Visitors dived into a short lecture by experts providing interesting insights into climate-friendly and sustainable steel production. The focus was on the areas of low-CO2 production, mobility and metallic materials. The presentation was coupled with a tour of a laboratory facility for CO2-free steel production. There was also the opportunity to view various steel products in different sizes and to learn about the microstructure of the material.
