K1-MET at the Kick-off meeting of the CARMA project

K1-MET hosted the Kick-off meeting of the Interreg ATCZ project CARMA.

The project will be coordinated by K1-MET, and the scientific partners are Mendel University in Brno, Johannes Kepler University Linz and University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice.

CARMA converts CO2 emissions into methane through electrolysis and uses microorganisms to produce high-quality biomass from it. The nutritional composition of this alternative protein source is then evaluated, and its suitability as fish feed is tested. CARMA combines modern technology with ecological considerations and contributes to a circular economy.

The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (programme Interreg Austria—Czechia 2021–2027), project ATCZ00278.
