Christine Gruber, Magdalena Schatzl and Irmela Kofler of K1-MET presented at the TechTalk K1MET within the IEEE Student Branch of the Johannes Kepler University Linz. The title of the presentation was “K1-MET metallurgical competence center: Research for sustainable metal production”.

Our employees provided an overview of K1-MET’s research activities in the fields of decarbonization, sustainability and digitalization of the metallurgical industry. Highlights of this research include projects on battery recycling, green steel production with hydrogen, alternative use of CO₂and digital twins of industrial plants. They also offered insights into the working methods and career paths at K1-MET.
