The 6th International Scientific Conference “Biotechnology and Metals” offered a platform for experts from diverse fields to explore the latest trends in environmental technology and biotechnology. The focus included raw materials processing, metal recovery, waste treatment, and environmental protection. This year, the conference expanded its scope to cover the entire field of environmental biotechnology and all types of contaminants. Researchers from both academia and industry were invited to participate, fostering collaboration and innovation in these critical areas.
Rebeka Frueholz, PhD student in the COMET Module “FuLIBatteR”, presented the PHOS4PLANT project and gave a presentation entitled “Recycling of sewage sludge ash into phosphate-rich plant fertilizer”.
Anna Sieber, PhD student in the COMET Module “FuLIBatteR”, gave a presentation on metal-binding peptides in the “FuLIBatteR” Module.
