On 14 April 2026, the 3^rd workshop of the COMET Module FuLIBatteR took place in hybrid form at the Saubermacher ECOPORT, which is the head office of the Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG located in Feldkirchen near Graz. Hans Roth, the founder of Saubermacher, provided insights into the ambitions and values of the company.

In the workshop, research activities on Lithium-Ion Batteries in the field of recycling, as well as the ecological battery design from the engineering and production perspective, were discussed. After the workshop, participants visited the recycling centre in Premstätten and the facilities for storage, sorting, discharging and processing of batteries.

The COMET Module is funded within COMET – Competence Centers for Excellent Technologies – by BMIMI, BMWET as well as the co-financing federal provinces Upper Austria and Styria. The COMET programme is managed by FFG (www.ffg.at/comet).
