This time, ISEC 2024, the 3^rd International Sustainable Energy Conference, focused on the role of the heating sector and resource efficiency in a networked sustainable energy system. ISEC 2024 sees itself as a generator of innovative ideas for research, business and energy policy.

The conference programme consisted of invited speakers from industry, science and politics as well as lectures and poster presentations by researchers from all continents.

Michael Zarl from K1-MET presented in the WIVA P&G Session “Hydrogen – A key factor to a Sustainable Economic System” and offered an insight into innovations for a sustainable future in the steel industry.

His presentation “Forging the Future: Innovations in Sustainable Steelmaking” highlighted the ground-breaking developments and technologies supporting a more sustainable steel production. The topics ranged from advanced processes and the reduction of emissions to the integration of renewable energies.
