K1-MET at the 14th PAMIR International Conference on Fundamental and Applied Magnetohydrodynamics

  • Leoben, Austria
  • 6–9 July 2026

K1-MET participated in the 14th PAMIR Conference in Leoben, Austria. As a sponsor of the conference, K1-MET was pleased to present current research at the exhibition stand and contribute to the scientific programme with four presentations covering plasma modelling, liquid metal flow, heat transfer, and computational methods for high-temperature processes.

Our presentations of work performed within the COMET Module PlasmArc4Green included:

  • “Liquid Metal Bath Mixing and Heat Transfer Mechanisms in Hydrogen Plasma Smelting Reduction” – Damir Kahrimanovic
  • “Kinetic Study of Coulombic Collisions in the Near-Cathode Region of Atmospheric Pressure Arc Discharges Using an Implicit PIC-MCC Code” – Yasir Siddiqui
  • “First Principles Collision Integrals for Ar-Ar over 300–100,000 K: Laricchiuta Benchmark” – Mohammad Faiz Khan
  • “Numerical Investigation of Marangoni-Driven Flow of Liquid Metal under Localized Heating” – Saloni Kansal
