On 2 October 2025, K1-MET participated in the 25th anniversary celebration of Upper Austrian Research GmbH at the Kepler Hall in Linz. The event highlighted a quarter-century of innovation and technology within the UAR Innovation Network, looking back at milestones and forward to future opportunities.
K1-MET was represented with an exhibit on thermoelectric generators – a promising technology to convert waste heat from high-temperature industrial processes into electrical energy. The presented prototype offers great potential for increasing energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions in energy-intensive industries.
We are also proud that Hamideh Hassanpour from K1-MET GmbH won 2nd place in the Public Voting of the diversity4innovation AWARD 2025 with her inspiring story as an Iranian researcher finding new opportunities in Austria.
A big thank you to the Upper Austrian Research GmbH, as well as to FFG – Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH, aws – Austria Wirtschaftsservice, WKO Oberösterreich, and the Province Upper Austria for supporting this inspiring Diversity Award and giving us the opportunity to showcase our research while celebrating diversity, innovation, and collaboration.
