Hamideh Hassanpour from K1-MET GmbH won the Best Poster Award for her poster presentation entitled “Advancing Hydrogen Plasma Smelting Reduction: Process Simulation, Technical and Environmental Assessment” at the 7th European Steel Technology and Application Days (ESTAD) in Verona, Italy, from 6 to 9 October 2025.

The work was conducted in collaboration with K1-MET co-authors Manuel Farkas, Bernhard Adami, Michael Andreas Zarl, Magdalena Schatzl and Christine Gruber.

Congratulations to Hamideh and the team for this outstanding achievement, highlighting K1-MET’s innovative contributions to sustainable steelmaking technologies!
