Representing K1-MET GmbH, Irmela Kofler served as a role model for young talented researchers. During the panel discussion
“Bold people for a bold Europe: How to attract and retain talents?” on 28 August 2023 at Forum Alpbach, she shared her experiences on how young talents in the field of science can be supported and motivated, as well as areas where further action is needed.

Other panel participants included Prof. Gattringer, President of Oesterreichischer Wissenschaftsfonds FWF, who briefly outlined research funding structures, and Ms. Kueckemanns, HR manager at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V., who presented their strategy for talent acquisition and retention.
