The sixth status meeting of the Horizon 2020 SPIRE Project DESTINY virtually took place on November 16 and 17, 2021.

K1-MET was represented by the project manager, Lukas Schmidt.

Besides another exploitation workshop with all the partners from the involved industrial sectors (Ceramic, Cement and Steel), the progress of the last 6 months was shown and discussed within the consortium. The detail engineering of the demo plant is finished and the components were procured. The up-scaled microwave applicator has already been equipped with a monitoring and control system and it was tested successfully with materials from the three sectors. After the commissioning, the containerized system will be transported to the demo site at the facilities of the project coordinator Keraben Grupo S.A.
